Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) by offering high-quality teaching through the Open
and Distance Learning (ODL) mode. The University began by offering two academic
programs in 1987, i.e., Diploma in Management and Diploma in Distance
Education, with strength of 4,528 students.
Today,
it serves the educational aspirations of over 3 million students in India and
other countries through 21 Schools of Studies and a network of 67 Regional Centers,
around 2,000 Learner Support Centers and 20 overseas institutions.
The
University offers about 200 certificate, diploma, degree and doctoral programs,
with strength of nearly 250 faculty members and 230 academic staff at the
headquarters and regional centers and over 35,000 academic counsellors from
conventional institutions of higher learning, professional organisations, and
industry among others.
Free Study in Ignou ( ignou admission)
Free
study of 55 Diploma programs with BA, BSc, and B.Com in IGNOU Scheduled caste
and scheduled tribe students studying from IGNOU will no longer have to spend
much money for studies. IGNOU has made a big change in the Fee Sport Scheme.
Now students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will get the
facility of studying 55 diploma programs including BA, BSc, B.Com free of cost.
Eligibility Criteria
The students fulfilling
the conditions will have to register for only Rs.200. After that no fee will be
required to be paid. Earlier this free scheme was available only for BA. For
the January 2022 session also, SC and ST students will be provided free
education in various undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate courses and
diploma courses on payment of a registration fee of just Rs 200. For this the
annual income of the student's family should be less than 2.5 lakhs. For free
education, family income certificate is mandatory for the student to be
attached with the form.

starting from March 4 the final semester examinations for all courses are
starting from March 4. For this, students can download the exam date sheet and ignou hall ticket by visiting the
official website of Ignou University.

How to Apply
Click
on the button NEW REGISTRATION that appears in the applicant login area and
fill the required registration details. Remember, while choosing your User Name
it must be between 8 to 16 characters.
While
choosing your password it must be alphanumeric and between 8 to 16 characters
long.
After
filling the mandatory information click the "SUBMIT" button.
Your
username will be instantly sent to you via e-mail and SMS. Remember your
Username and Password for subsequent login.
If
you have already registered i.e you are an existing user click the
"LOGIN" button.
Before
proceeding for filling the form online the applicant must have the following:-
Scanned
Photograph (less than 100 KB) Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB) Scanned copy
of Age Proof (less than 200 KB) Scanned copy of relevant Educational
Qualification (less than 200 KB) Scanned Copy of Experience Certificate (if
any) (less than 200 KB) Scanned Copy of Category Certificate, if SC/ST/OBC
(less than 200 KB) Scanned Copy of BPL Certificate, if Below Poverty Line(less
than 200 KB)

(Master/Visa/Rupay) Net Banking It is necessary to scan documents from your
originals. Once you have uploaded the document, click the next button you will
get the Form preview option. Save/Print your form for future reference.
